monitoring activities in Berkshire. Lyn Sawyer was arrested during a
private drag hunt by the Vale of Aylesbury with Garth and South Berks Hunt.

In the beginning of 2009 there were only 414 fur farms left in Norway.
Since the peak year of 1996 is on average 68 fur farms closed down each
year. Also the number of members in fur federation has been reduced by over
60% from 1995 to 2007.

go vegetarian at least once a week.
Starting this week there will be a regular weekly meatless day, in which

Trial begins for men accused of freeing mink

SALT LAKE CITY -- The federal trial of two men accused of releasing
hundreds of mink from a South Jordan farm began Monday in Salt Lake.
William Viehl and Alex Hall have both pleaded not guilty to charges of
damaging and interfering with animal enterprises.
Prosecutors allege the men, both members of the Animal Liberation Front,
are responsible for a raid on the McMullin Mink Farm in August 2008.
If convicted, Viehl and Hall could spend up to six years in prison and
pay a $350,000 fine.

Circus violence. The police are investigating several assaults and
threats after protesters were attacked by the Peter Jolly clan. One teenage
girl was held down and punched in the face by two men.We cannot go into
details at present for legal reasons but demonstrations will continue
against this bunch of bullies. If they are violent to protesters what on
earth do they do to the animals at their mercy?

The owner of a circus based near Norwich has been charged with an assault alleged to have occurred during a protest about their show. Ryszard Tomaszewicz, 49, who co-owns Circus Mondao, has been charged with assault on an animal rights protestor on Wednesday, March 25.
